Detroit Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana made his season debut Tuesday night against the Arizona Coyotes.
Vrana had missed the entire campaign after undergoing shoulder surgery in late September. He was given a four-month recovery timeline.
The Red Wings acquired Vrana from the Washington Capitals at last season's trade deadline. He made an immediate impact with 11 points in 11 games to close out the 2020-21 campaign.
Vrana inked a three-year, $15.75-million extension with Detroit in the offseason.
The 26-year-old was drafted 13th overall in 2014. He notched 168 points in 295 career contests entering Tuesday's game and won the Stanley Cup with the Capitals in 2018.
