Red Wings deal Namestnikov to Stars

The Detroit Red Wings traded forward Vladislav Namestnikov to the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick, both teams announced Monday.
Namestnikov is a pending unrestricted free agent and carries a cap hit of $2 million. Detroit will retain 50% of his salary.
The 29-year-old recorded 25 points in 60 games for the Red Wings this season.
He has also spent time with the Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers, and Tampa Bay Lightning throughout his nine-year career.
