Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Matt Murray exited Sunday's loss to the Detroit Red Wings and was unable to return after he was inadvertently knocked over by Lucas Raymond in the first period.

Murray immediately went to the dressing room after the non-penalized play, giving way to Ilya Samsonov. Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said Murray was tested for a concussion, but there's no update on his status, according to Sportsnet's Luke Fox.

Detroit scored twice on seven shots before Murray departed and ultimately earned a 5-2 victory on the strength of a hat trick from Dylan Larkin.

Murray has already had two significant absences this season. He was sidelined with an adductor ailment in October and returned from a 17-game ankle-injury absence in early March.

The 28-year-old entered Sunday's game with a 14-8-2 record and a .905 save percentage in his debut season with the Leafs. Toronto acquired him in an offseason trade with the Ottawa Senators.
