Cale Makar is ready to return to the lineup.
The Colorado Avalanche superstar said Monday he's ready to play in Game 1 of his team's first-round playoff series against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, according to The Athletic's Peter Baugh.
Makar missed the final seven games of the regular season with what the club called a lower-body injury.
The 24-year-old defenseman also missed portions of the campaign due to a head injury followed by a recurrence of related symptoms.
He produced 17 goals and 49 assists while leading the NHL with a whopping 26:23 of average ice time over 60 games in 2022-23.
Makar won the Norris and Conn Smythe trophies last season while helping the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup.
