Ducks take Myatovic to kick off Day 2 of draft

The Anaheim Ducks selected Nico Myatovic with the 33rd overall pick to start Day 2 of the 2023 NHL Draft.

2022-23 stats

Myatovic played a depth role on the top team in the WHL with the Thunderbirds, helping Seattle capture the league championship and go all the way to the Memorial Cup final.

He was one of six draft-eligible WHLers to hit the 30-goal mark in the regular season. In the postseason, he scored seven points in 19 contests.

Myatovic will return to the Thunderbirds next season.
