The New York Rangers signed forward Blake Wheeler and veteran goaltender Jonathan Quick to one-year deals, the team announced Saturday.

Wheeler's deal carries a cap hit of $800,000 with an additional $300,000 available in bonuses, reports TSN's Pierre LeBrun. The Winnipeg Jets bought out the final year of his contract Friday, ending his 13-year tenure with the franchise.

Quick's pact is worth $825,000 plus a potential $100,000 in bonuses, according to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli. He spent the 2022-23 campaign with the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights. The 37-year-old is a three-time Stanley Cup champion.

Wheeler, 36, put up 16 goals and 39 assists in 72 games this past season.

Quick posted an .882 save percentage and 3.41 goals against average in 41 appearances in 2022-23. The Kings sent their longtime netminder and a pair of picks to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov and goalie Joonas Korpisalo prior to the trade deadline.

Columbus flipped Quick to the Golden Knights shortly after for goaltender Michael Hutchinson and a seventh-round draft pick in 2025.

Quick owns a .911 save percentage and 2.47 goals against average in 753 career appearances. Wheeler, meanwhile, has 922 points in 1,118 career NHL games.
