Tim Thomas nearing decision, discussing deal with multiple teams
Controversial goaltender Tim Thomas decided earlier this summer to end his sabbatical and return to the National Hockey League. The positionally aggressive and politically outspoken netminder remains an unrestricted free-agent for the time being, however, he is apparently closing in on a deal.
Per ESPN's Craig Custance:
Tim Thomas closing in on a decision. Possibly today. Discussions continue with multiple teams.
