The perils of the NHL's jersey tuck rule
The NHL does not want players to keep it in their pants. But when Alex Semin was assessed a penalty for violating the jersey tuck rule on Wednesday night, it is turning into the preseason's most controversial issue. Mostly because there is not much to talk about ahead of October. But anyway, Hurricanes coach Kirk Muller makes a good point - it's not like the move was intentional.
"We're aware of it. [Semin] wasn't doing it on purpose," he said, via Yahoo's Sean Leahy. "First time wearing the jerseys and [it] kinda just kept popping up. But they said they'd be strict on it and we're aware of it. We've just got to find a way to prevent it from happening."
Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul is not impressed.
Who's gonna be the first ref to tell Jagr to un-tuck his jersey? C'mon

This is a definite possibility.
If you think the NHL's jersey tuck rule stinks wait'll you see the jersey-over-the-glass rule. A real possibility with Buffalo's 3rd jersey.
