The New Jersey Devils and restricted free agent forward Dawson Mercer agreed to a three-year contract worth $4 million per season, the team announced Friday.
Mercer was New Jersey's last unsigned player as negotiations leaked into the start of training camp. The 22-year-old's entry-level contract expired after the 2023-24 campaign.
The Devils have approximately $976,000 in cap space after the deal, according to PuckPedia.
Mercer appeared in all 82 games for the third consecutive year last season and notched 20 goals alongside 13 assists.
The Devils drafted him 18th overall in 2020.
