Tony DeAngelo signed a one-year contract with the KHL's SKA Saint Petersburg, the team announced Monday.
DeAngelo was an unrestricted free agent this past summer but couldn't find an NHL deal after a rocky season with the Carolina Hurricanes. The 28-year-old was put on the trade block early in the year and was a frequent healthy scratch. He registered 11 points in 31 games while averaging a career-low 14:20 per contest.
The Philadelphia Flyers bought out DeAngelo's contract in the summer of 2023, opening the door for the blue-liner's second stint with the Hurricanes. He's also suited up for the Arizona Coyotes and New York Rangers in his career.
DeAngelo's racked up 210 points in 371 career NHL games.
