Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury he suffered in a loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night, head coach Rick Tocchet revealed Saturday.

"I think we might have dodged a bullet, it looked worse ... but ... we'll see," the bench boss told reporters.

Tocchet said they got scans of the injury back after the game.

Myers was helped off the ice in the first period after colliding with Flyers forward Joel Farabee in the offensive zone.

The Canucks announced Myers wouldn't return to the game.

Myers signed a three-year, $9-million contract with Vancouver in June. He's been with Vancouver since the 2019-20 season and has accumulated 106 points in 361 games with the club while averaging more than 21 minutes of ice time.
