Video: T.J. Oshie finishes lovely passing play, chases Rinne
The third goal which the St. Louis Blues managed on Pekka Rinne resulted in the Finnish goaltender getting an early hook from Predators coach Barry Trotz. Not that Rinne was at fault on the tally, because it was a thing of beauty.
T.J. Oshie finished the play, but it was started by Blues captain David Backes who charged hard to the net and found Alex Steen open in the slot was a backhand pass. Rather than shooting it, Steen used a soft touch pass to slide the puck across the slot to an oncoming T.J. Oshie.
The result? A somewhat attractive goal:
