Lightning's Point returns vs. Penguins
The Tampa Bay Lightning got Brayden Point back Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Point, who scored a goal early in the third period, missed the previous four games after exiting last Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Winnipeg Jets due to injury. The Bolts went 2-1-1 in his absence.
The 28-year-old took up his usual spot on the top line between Jake Guentzel and Nikita Kucherov at Tuesday's morning skate.
Point had recorded eight goals and 13 points in 12 games entering Tuesday's game, including four tallies and seven points in his previous five outings.
His 566 career points in 592 previous games since his debut season in 2016-17 are the third-most on the team over that span, while his 272 goals were the most.
The Lightning occupied third place in the Atlantic Division with a 9-6-1 record prior to Tuesday's action.
