The Toronto Maple Leafs moved forward Max Pacioretty onto their active roster from long-term injured reserve, the club announced Saturday.

The Leafs placed defenseman Jake McCabe on regular IR in a corresponding move, but it's retroactive to Nov. 30. The minimum stay for that designation is seven days, so he can be activated at any time.

Pacioretty was labeled week-to-week on Nov. 11 due to an apparent leg injury he sustained two days earlier against the Montreal Canadiens.

The 36-year-old collected two goals and four assists while averaging 12:11 of ice time over 13 games before he got hurt.

Pacioretty is in his first season with the Maple Leafs, who signed him to a one-year pact at around $874,000 after bringing him into training camp on a professional tryout deal.

The Maple Leafs are still without forwards Bobby McMann, Max Domi, Calle Jarnkrok, and David Kampf due to injuries.

Toronto came into Saturday's slate leading the Atlantic Division at 16-8-2.
