Blues' Parayko out at least 6 weeks with knee injury
St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko will undergo a scope on his left knee and be re-evaluated in six weeks, the team announced Thursday.
Parayko suffered the injury on an awkward fall in overtime during St. Louis' 3-2 shootout victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. He matched his previous career high of 35 points with an assist during the contest.
The 31-year-old leads the Blues in average ice time (23:51) and blocked shots (140) in 62 games this season. Parayko also established a new career high with 15 goals on the campaign and represented Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
St. Louis entered Thursday's slate just one point out of a wild-card spot in the Western Conference after going 5-1-1 in its first seven games after the 4 Nations Face-Off's break.
The Blues' regular season ends April 15 against Utah, a little less than six weeks away.
