Wild land Brazeau from Bruins for Lauko, Khusnutdinov
The Minnesota Wild acquired winger Justin Brazeau from the Boston Bruins for forwards Jakub Lauko and Marat Khusnutdinov and a sixth-round pick in 2026, the teams announced.
Brazeau carries a $775,000 cap hit and is an unrestricted free agent this summer. The 6-foot-6 forward has registered 10 goals and 10 assists across 57 games in his first full NHL campaign.
Both Lauko and Khusnutdinov are pending RFAs.
The Bruins traded Lauko to the Wild last June. Boston drafted him in the third round in 2018, and he made 83 appearances with the club from 2022-2024. The 24-year-old has notched six points in 36 games this season.
Khusnutdinov, 22, has registered seven points in 57 games this season. He was a second-round pick of the Wild in 2020 and made his NHL debut in 2023-24 after a four-year stint in the KHL.
The Wild entered Thursday's slate occupying the third spot in the Central Division, only two points clear of the Colorado Avalanche.
The Bruins are three points back of a wild-card seed in the East and are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16.
