Flyers trade Kuzmenko to Kings
The Philadelphia Flyers traded forward Andrei Kuzmenko and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick, the teams announced Friday.
Philadelphia is retaining 50% of Kuzmenko's $5.5-million cap hit, bringing his price tag down to $2.75 million for the Kings. He can become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
This is the second time Kuzmenko has been traded this season. The Calgary Flames sent him to Philadelphia as part of the package for Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee in January.
Kuzmenko scored four goals and 15 points in 37 outings to start the season with the Flames before adding two tallies and three assists in a seven-game stint with the Flyers.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a breakout first NHL season with the Vancouver Canucks in 2022-23, amassing 39 goals and 74 points in 81 contests.
The Canucks traded Kuzmenko to the Flames last season in the deal that brought Elias Lindholm to Vancouver.
The undrafted Russian has totaled 67 goals and 140 points in 197 career NHL games.
