Penguins deal Glass to Devils
The Pittsburgh Penguins traded forwards Cody Glass and Jonathan Gruden to the New Jersey Devils for a third-round pick in 2027 and minor-leaguers Chase Stillman and Max Graham, the teams announced Friday.
Glass will be suiting up for his fourth team in six years. The Canadian, who turns 26 on April 1, has also played for the Nashville Predators and Vegas Golden Knights since debuting in 2019-20.
The defensive-minded center has four goals, 11 assists, 31 blocked shots, and 43 hits this season while averaging 13:25 of ice time over 51 games. The Penguins acquired him from the Predators last August.
Vegas drafted Glass sixth overall in 2017 and shipped him to Nashville for Nolan Patrick in the summer of 2021.
Glass set career highs with 14 goals and 21 assists over 72 games with the Predators in 2022-23.
