The Carolina Hurricanes are turning back to goaltender Frederik Andersen for Game 4 as they look to avoid getting swept by the Florida Panthers on Monday night, head coach Rod Brind'Amour announced, according to The News & Observer's Chip Alexander.

"He's been great for us all year," the bench boss said. "He's had a nice couple of days off. It make(s) sense for him to play."

Andersen struggled through the first two games of the Eastern Conference Final, allowing nine goals on 36 shots for a .750 save percentage and 5.54 goals against average.

Carolina started Pyotr Kochetkov in Game 3, but he didn't fare any better against the Panthers in his fourth appearance of these playoffs. Kochetkov surrendered six goals on 28 shots while allowing 2.25 goals above expected, per Natural Stat Trick.

Andersen was stellar through the first two series of these playoffs, leading the league with a .937 save percentage and 1.36 goals against average while besting the New Jersey Devils and Washington Capitals.

The Hurricanes will be looking for their first victory in an Eastern Conference Final since 2006 to end a run of 15 straight losses.

Game 4 is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET in Florida.
