The St. Louis Blues signed defenseman Cam Fowler to a three-year contract extension Saturday.

The deal is worth $6.1 million per season, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. Fowler is entering the final campaign of an eight-year, $52-million contract he signed as a member of the Anaheim Ducks in 2017.

The Blues acquired Fowler in December after he spent parts of 15 seasons with the Ducks. He had four assists in 17 games with Anaheim before the trade, then contributed 36 points in 51 contests with St. Louis.

The 33-year-old added 10 points in the first round of the playoffs as the Blues lost in seven games to the top-seeded Winnipeg Jets.

Fowler was the 12th overall pick in 2010. He's notched 493 points in 1,042 career games.
