TB at BOS: Steven Stamkos stretchered off after apparent leg injury
During the second period of Monday afternoon's game between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning, Lightning forward Steven Stamkos tripped into his own net. Stamkos went into the net legs first and struck the post with his shin causing his leg to bend awkwardly.
Here's a .gif of the painful looking collision:

Stamkos' teammate, Lightning goaltender Ander Lindback, immediately gestured towards the Lightning bench requesting assistance from the trainer. Stamkos attempted to put weight onto his injured leg, but was unable to. He was ultimately stretchered off of the ice.
