Hurricanes looking to acquire a puck-moving defenseman
According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the Carolina Hurrcanes are looking to acquire a puck-moving defenseman and would be willing to part with forwards Tuomo Ruutu and Jiri Tlusty in order to get one.
...And yes, I did say on Sportscentre the Hurricanes have offered Ruutu and Tlusty to teams. Part of Canes search for a puck-moving d-man.

Both Tlusty and Ruutu are off to an awful start this season, with Tlusty notching 3 goals and 6 points in 22 games while Ruutu has mustered a mere 1 goal and 3 points in 17 games.
The 8-10-4 Hurricanes have struggled to find the back of the net thus far, ranking 29th in the NHL with 1.91 goals per game.
