The Montreal Canadiens thought they scored three separate times Saturday night against the Detroit Red Wings, but had to settle for a 1-0 shootout victory.

The Habs had a trio of goals taken off the board between regulation and overtime, starting with Cole Caufield's attempt in the first period that evidently didn't fully cross the line despite being called a goal on the ice.

In the middle frame, Zach Bolduc's shorthanded tally was erased due to a controversial goalie interference ruling.

Finally, Alexandre Texier's would-be overtime winner was negated after Bolduc was deemed offside.

Bolduc put a cap on his eventful night with a goal in the sixth round of the shootout that stood as the winner.
