Kings and Ducks Stadium Series jerseys designed for 'better visibility'
The NHL has designed the Stadium Series jerseys for the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings with a different twist. Both jerseys feature bold colors and lightweight crests to "help improve athlete performance." The NHL has also changed the size of the numbers on each jersey for a specific reason.
"Numbering on the back of the jerseys is enlarged and sleeve numbers are angled to improve visibility in outdoor venues." Quote via NHL.com
Many argued the outdoor games changed the aesthetics of the way players see the game and react. The new features on the jerseys can suggest the league is looking at further safety measures as depth perception changes when playing in stadiums.
