Report: Steven Stamkos aiming to return Feb. 6 vs Maple Leafs
Steven Stamkos appears to have a specific target date for his return to the Tampa Bay Lightning lineup.
According to Darren Dreger of TSN, Stamkos is targeting Feb. 6 against the Toronto Maple Leafs as his first game back since breaking his right tibia on Nov. 11.
This would give Stamkos two full games of NHL action prior to the Olympic break, ideally allowing him to shake off enough rust to be an effective member of Team Canada.
As Pierre LeBrun notes in the same report, Team Canada has until Jan. 7 to name the Olympic roster, and they'll no doubt be keeping a close eye on Stamkos' progress in the meantime.
