Red Wings D Kyle Quincey assessed game misconduct for boarding Ducks F Getzlaf
In the first period of Tuesday night's game between the Anaheim Ducks and the Detroit Red Wings, Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for boarding Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf.
The hit itself was nasty, and Getzlaf left the game shortly afterwards. Getzlaf's lip was bleeding profusely, presumably from when he hit it on the dasher:

As a result of this hit, Getzlaf received stitches but did ultimately return to the game.
