VIDEO: Don Cherry in rare form during Coach's Corner segment
CBC personality, Canadian Icon and Coach's Corner host Don Cherry brought his fastball on Saturday night.
On the heels of Canada's U20 team falling in the semifinals against Finland on Saturday afternoon, Cherry put Hockey Canada on blast for leaving talented OHLers like Darnell Nurse, Max Domi and Connor Brown off of Canada's World Junior Hockey Championship roster.
Cherry also commended Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa for his role protecting a fallen teammate during a nearby fight, and mispronounced Bieksa's name ("Bieska") on multiple occasions.
Finally Cherry discussed the controversy surrounding the selection of the American men's ice hockey team for the 2014 Olympics. In particular Cherry took issue with how ESPN reporter Scott Burnside used his embedded access with USA Hockey:
