Analysis:
Although McCormick was mixing in with some of his healthy teammates, interim coach Ted Nolan said the forward wasn't particularly close to a return. Instead, Nolan said McCormick remains in the same stage of his recovery as Kevin Porter (lower body) and Henrik Tallinder (upper body), who haven't been practicing.
