Flyers G Steve Mason pulled on same day as contract extension
Flyers goaltender Steve Mason was pulled after allowing four goals on 24 shots against the Islanders Saturday - the same day he signed a three-year contract extension with Philadelphia.
Mason has allowed at least three goals in five of his last six starts and entered Saturday's game with a .895 save percentage since the end of November.
The fourth goal Mason allowed might have been the weakest: a long shot through sparse traffic that Mason simply failed to track.
