PHOTO: L.A. Kings AHL affiliate wear awful 'Burger King' jerseys
The Manchester Monarchs - the American Hockey League affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings - took to the ice at on Saturday night while sporting one of the ugliest hockey jerseys in recent memory.
Topped only, perhaps, by the New York Islanders' "Fishsticks" sweater, the L.A. Kings "Burger King jersey" (the club's third jersey back in 1996, an era when everyone made the mistake of trying to emulate the Florida Panthers sweater for some reason) is uniquely awful. But the Monarchs are wearing it on Saturday night, thanks to the result of an on-line poll this fall.
The results are glorious and awful, as you'd expect:

Wait, how'd that last one get in there?
These hideous monstrosities (which are so ugly they're kind of awesome, truth be told) will be auctioned off on ebay following Saturday night's game with all proceeds benefiting the Monarchs Care Foundation.
