VIDEO: Flames score after Wild D Stoner accidentally trips G Kuemper
Minnesota Wild defenseman Clayton Stoner must be feeling a little foolish after getting tangled up with goaltender Darcy Kuemper on the goal that gave the Calgary Flames a 2-1 lead late in the second period Saturday.
Stoner skated through the crease and glanced the leg of his team's netminder as Flames defenseman Chris Butler fired a shot, which was tipped over a tumbling Kuemper by Dennis Wideman.
Minnesota has just 10 shots after the first 40 minutes of play, making Stoner's gaffe all the more glaring.
