Ryan Murray: Exits After Hard Hit
Murray left Thursday's game with an upper-body injury and is questionable to return, Todd Sharrock of bluejackets.com reports.
Analysis:
Murray stayed in the game after taking a huge hit from the Kings' Dustin Brown, but the rookie defenseman was eventually forced out of action and deemed questionable to return. Brown elbowed Murray in the face/neck area, so a head injury is the most likely diagnosis, assuming that Murray's issue is related to the big hit. Columbus' final game before the Olympic break is scheduled for Friday, meaning that Murray probably won't miss more than one game, unless the injury turns out to be far more serious than it looked. As ugly as the hit was, Murray didn't lose consciousness and returned to skate a few shifts.
