Henrik Zetterberg: Undergoes Back Surgery

Zetterberg underwent surgery Friday to remove part of a disc in his back, and the Red Wings are optimistic that he will be able to play again this season, MLive.com reports.

Analysis:

Red Wings Assistant GM Ryan Martin said the procedure went "very, very well," but Zetterberg will still need about eight weeks to recover. While he will have a chance to return during the playoffs (if the Red Wings qualify), or just before, fantasy owners should not expect to get much, if any, use out of Zetterberg the rest of the way.
