On Thursday night, Florida Panthers netminder Tim Thomas made what has to be one of the strangest and unintentionally coolest saves of the year.
Facing Capitals defender Mike Green who had broken in all alone on a breakaway, Thomas was way out of the blue-paint and square to the shooter. Green faked a wrist shot and froze Thomas, and then some. Thomas bit so hard on the fake that he just toppled over.
Despite falling down, Thomas still somehow managed to make the save.
