The Detroit Red Wings have been thin along the blue-line ever since Niklas Lidstrom rode off into the sunset a few years ago.
So it comes as no significant surprise that reports have begun to surface suggesting that Red Wings general manager Ken Holland may have some interest in acquiring the services of Sabres puck-mover Christian Ehrhoff.
According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the Red Wings are among the teams interested in acquiring the speedy, German defenseman with the forever-term contract:
