VIDEO: Stars F Tyler Seguin bests previous career high with 30th goal of season
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
On Sunday night, Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin took a pass from linemate Valeri Nichushkin and went backhand shelf on Jets netminder Al Montoya.
In scoring his rather lovely first period goal, Seguin surpassed his previous career high of 29 goals in a season (a mark he set in 2011-12) with his 30th goal of the year.
The 22-year-old Stars sniper flashed some serious skills on this goal:
Seguin, who has now scored 86 goals in his young career, has another 15 games left to further pad his career-best goal totals.
It's probably worth noting Seguin's 30 goals are more than Loui Eriksson (seven goals), Reilly Smith (18 goals), and Matt Fraser (two goals) have combined for in Boston this season.
