Sabres to officially retire Hasek's jersey next season
The Buffalo Sabres are set to honor one of the greatest goaltenders to ever strap-on a pair of pads.
#Sabres announce the team will officially retire the jersey of Dominik Hasek in a ceremony during the 2014-15 season. #39 to the rafters.

Hasek's nine-season run with the Sabres is the stuff of snow-angel save legend, and resulted in two Hart Trophies, six Vezina Trophies, six first team all-star selections and a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999 (where the Sabres were the victim of Brett Hull's infamous "toe in the crease" goal).
Over his sterling 16-year NHL career, Hasek posted a 389-233-95 record, with a .922 pave percentage and a 2.20 GAA in 735 games split between Chicago, Buffalo, Ottawa and Detroit.
