Flames sign Quinnipiac F Bryce Van Brabant to 2-year contract

Quinnipiac junior Bryce Van Brabant has decided to forgo the final season of college eligibility in order to sign with the Calgary Flames.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound forward agreed to a two-year, entry-level contract and is expected to meet the team Sunday in Ottawa though he is doubtful to play.
In 40 games this season with Quinnipiac, Van Brabant scored 15 goals while adding seven assists and 113 penalty minutes.
The native of Morinville, AB, attended the Flames summer camp earlier in the season.
