GIF: Lightning F Stamkos scores own goal on delayed penalty
Rob Grabowski / USA TODAY Sports
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos has scored 229 career NHL goals, but on Saturday night in Buffalo he put one in the back of the net that he'll likely want back.
On a delayed penalty Stamkos' pass missed Ryan Malone in the slot and banked perfectly off the sideboards down the ice and in the net for the go-ahead goal for the Sabres.

Conacher gets credit for Stamkos' goal as he was the last Sabres player to touch the puck. Also was going to the box on the penalty.

Stamkos would get his revenge in overtime however, scoring the game winner.
