Oilers' Ryan Smyth to retire at end of regular season

Edmonton's Ryan Smyth will retire from professional hockey following the Oilers' final regular season game against Vancouver, according to the team's official Twitter account.

The 38-year-old will take one season off from the game in order to spend time with his family before considering returning in some capacity.
The Oilers produced this tribute video prior to Smyth's return to the team in 2011.
