Ryan Smyth plays shift lasting more than 5 minutes in career finale

The Edmonton Oilers badly wanted to make Ryan Smyth the franchise leader in power-play goals in his final NHL game.
How badly? Enough to leave him out for almost an entire double-minor on Saturday - and then some:
That 5:36 Smyth shift is the longest in any game since at least 2011-12. (anyone know about earlier?)

Smyth drew the double-minor midway through the second period when a high stick from Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alexander Edler. Smyth had already been on the ice for 2:09 when the penalty was called, and coach Dallas Eakins elected to leave him on the ice for the first 3:27 of Edler's infraction.
Smyth has 126 power-play goals with the Oilers, tying him with Glenn Anderson for the club record.
