Flyers' Hartnell fined $5,000 for spear on Hurricanes' Bellemore

The NHL has fined Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Hartnell for his spear on Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brett Bellemore on Sunday night.

Hartnell told media after the game that he expected the league to look at the incident, "Obviously, it wasn't the smartest thing to do, especially going into the playoffs. Definitely, I didn't try to hurt the guy, definitely, it wasn't very hard [the spear], anyway."
