It took double overtime, but the Columbus Blue Jackets evened their series with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, winning Game 2 by a score of 4-3.

Both teams got off to a hot start with three goals were scored in 1:39 minutes. The Blue Jackets took two first period penalties, amassing 22 hits while the Penguins threw 15.

Sidney Crosby also managed to climb the Penguins all-time postseason point list.

Neither team brought their A-game on the power play as both teams allowed a short-handed goal.

The Penguins received a major boost from forward Brian Gibbons, despite the fact he only played 2:26 minutes in the first period before exiting the game with an undisclosed injury.

All but one of the six goals scored in regulation came on the power play or penalty kill. The Blue Jackets threw 10 shots at Marc-Andre Fleury in the third period before tying the game.

Game 1 recap, Penguins 4, Blue Jackets 3.
