The flying octopus at Detroit Red Wings playoff games is a postseason tradition unlike any other. Let's be honest: It is unique because the thought of sneaking an octopus into a hockey game is pretty disgusting.
With the opening round Stanley Cup playoff series between the Detroit Red Wings and the Boston Bruins shifting to Joe Louis Arena on Tuesday night, the octopi were flying (of course). And they were flying a little bit too close to Boston Bruins netminder Tuukka Rask:

It could've been a nasty scene, and Rask was a bit fortunate that the mollusk went wide.
