Flyers captain Claude Giroux, who was briefly the best player in the world, has earned his reputation as a hard nosed playoff warrior. Pint-sized Norwegian born New York Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello? Not so much.

The hit that Zuccarello tagged Giroux with late in the third period of Friday night's Game 5, however, may go some distance in altering that perception. This was just a huge collision:

Giroux remained on the ice in obvious pain for several moments after the hit, but shook off the impact and stayed in the game.
