Former NHL head coach Mike Keenan looked like his old self after losing Game 6 of the KHL's Gagarin Cup in overtime, which forced a Game 7.

Keenan, who is head coach of Metallurg Magnitogorsk, was not pleased with the officiating in the first period, according to SovSport, and said as much after the game (as translated by Google):

They were wrong twice in the first period, giving us two [penalties]. As a result, we missed two key goals in the first period. These goals strongly affected the final result. Refereeing should be the same as in the fifth game of the series, when there [are no eliminations]. In the decisive match [referees] generally should not be noticeable.

After the game, Keenan went after the referees in the tunnel and had to be held back by security. (Skip ahead to 12:27.)

This isn't Keenan's first rodeo with referees. He told media he wasn't trying to hurt them at all during the incident. "I tried to hit the referee? Not at all ..."

Keenan is fighting to become the first head coach to coach teams to both the Stanley Cup and Gagarin Cup.
