Patrick Kane scored twice as the Chicago Blackhawks earned a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Wild, to take a 1-0 series lead on Friday.

Although the Blackhawks were severely out shot 32 to 22, they managed to score three goals in the third period.

After giving up a 2-0 lead in the final frame, the Blackhawks relied on Kane who scored his fourth and fifth goals of the playoffs and Bryan Bickell, who added his second of the game, to secure the win.

Turning Point

The Blackhawks were outshot 17-3 in the second period by the Wild and were looking like an inexperienced group trying to protect a lead. However, the Blackhawks' offense exploded in the third period, scoring three goals to solidify the Game 1 win.
