Canadiens' Subban: I can’t wait to take that crowd energy away from them
Following the Montreal Canadiens Game 6 win over their hated rivals from Boston Monday night, superstar defenseman P.K. Subban made it clear that he planned on marching into TD Garden on Wednesday with expressed purposes of upsetting the apple cart (and possibly lighting it ablaze).
"It’s going to be great," Subban told Sportsnet's Chris Johnston. "I can’t wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can’t wait to take that all away from them."
Subban, who turned 25 on Tuesday, has been absolutely dynamite thus far in the playoffs, leading all defensemen with 12 points while averaging almost 27 minutes of ice time per game.
"You have to enjoy it," Subban told NHL.com of the pressures of playing in a Game 7. "I don't think I've played a game in this League nervous, and I'm not going to start to do that now."
The uber-confident Subban will get his chance to take it all away from the Bruins on Wednesday night when the Habs travel to the TD Garden in Boston with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line.
