Rangers' Brassard not expected to suit up for Game 3 vs. Canadiens
Although New York Rangers forward Derick Brassard is still being listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury, Rangers bench-boss Alain Vigneault busted out his native tongue to give a more definitive answer on Brassard's status for Game 3.
"I would say right now I think no," Vigneault told french reporters when asked if Brassard would be in the lineup Thursday (via NHL.com).
The 26-year-old former first round pick hasn't played since Game 1, when he appeared to re-aggravate a suspected back injury as the result of a hit by Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Weaver.
Brassard has been a key cog in the Rangers offense during their current postseason run, scoring four goals (including two game-winners) and adding three assists for seven points in 15 games.
