Former Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov planning NHL return; Toronto remains top choice

Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov is intent on resuming his NHL career after a one-year stint in the KHL. 

According to Michael Traikos of The National Post, Komarov's agent confirmed the 27-year-old is looking for a long-term deal, and his preference is to return to Toronto, where he registered four goals and five assists in 42 games during the lockout shortened 2013 regular season.

Komarov appeared in 52 games for the KHL's Moscow Dynamo this season, scoring 12 goals and adding 22 assists. Most recently, he played for his native Finland at the IIHF World Hockey Championship, contributing a goal and two assists in ten games en route to a silver medal.
